I teach piano to help students build self-esteem and realize their full potential to succeed in any endeavor they choose. One of my favorite books, "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol Dweck, has inspired my way of teaching to help students acquire a growth mindset- the belief that skills are developed through dedication and effort, not brains and talent. Playing piano perfectly is secondary; my goal is to teach the importance of hard work that can be translated to success in all areas of their lives.
Piano lessons are designed for each student’s learning style and goals through a clear, step-by-step, and comfortable approach at all levels.
- Rooted in classical training and repertoire
- Beginners- Learning proper technique and rudimentary skills, such as reading pitches and counting rhythm.
- Options to choose fun repertoire- jazz and popular music.
- Preparing students for exams and auditions
Each student receives a 60-minute lesson. 45-minute private lessons are available for younger students.
Recitals and Events
There is one recital every year in the spring. Students will also be informed of relevant piano and classical concerts, lectures, and events in the community.
